Global Consumer Experience Director

Introduction

This is a business critical role that will set the vision, strategy and execution plan for the newly formed Centre of Excellence team from the ground up. The remit? To drive expertise in engagement and acceleration of Digital, media and PR best practice, capability and learning across core marketing teams globally.

The Role

Key responsibilities

  • Overseeing of the organsiations marketing capability programme
  • Engage at global and local level, building future capability across Digital and PR and developing appropriate behaviours in order to deliver business KPIs and individual goals, in turn growing and retaining the best talent

STRATEGY & EXECUTION

○ Setting the Digital & PR vision and strategy, to drive category and business performance, aligned with brilliant execution of plans and delivering these through direct and indirect cross functional teams including commercial and IT

CONSUMER EXPERIENCE

○ Be the “internal consultant” – by championing and raising capability and quality standards of the Brand teams in area of media, digital and PR

○ Lead external relationships with all key partners, from social / digital experts through to forging outstanding partnerships with roster agencies in order to achieve a “step change” in return of media effectiveness in tandem with delivering best in class consumer connections through all relevant channels

You must be able to demonstrate

The ideal candidate

  • Ideally FMCG / consumer business experience
  • Experience in and exposure to an international business with a global matrix structure, with demonstrable experience of leading and influencing at a senior level
  • Our client is also open to candidates coming from senior level Planning roles (or similar) from the agency side
  • Blue chip training and rigour gained from either client or agency side organisations – resulting in ability to bring strong structure and process where appropriate
  • A sound knowledge of marketing communications with a strong emphasis on and understanding of the digital landscape including social media, e commerce and beyond
  • Senior level experience in planning and execution of “best in class” integrated campaigns across online and offline channels
