Our brief
Transunion is a credit reporting agency that collects and aggregates information on over 1 billion consumers in over 30 countries. Following the acquisition of Callcredit by TransUnion in 2018, they partnered with bpesearch to build the capability of the sales team in specific verticals. The desire to bring in forward thinking and relationship led people is key for the group as they want to maintain the culture but equally raise the bar with new hires.
The high calibre of individual required and desire to think outside of the usual bureau candidate pool challenged us, however the experience bpesearch have in the location, also our ability to draw from a broad spectrum of sectors allowed us to challenge the brief and go to market with this unique opportunity.
Our approach
Utilising our network in fintech and startups gave us the opportunity to speak to some superb individuals. The challenge was engaging them and getting them to move to the other side of the relationship. With the backing of the TU this allowed us to bring the business and the culture to life, we engaged the sales community and brought some top quality talent to the table. Although this was an incredibly challenging search, as TU sought individual sitting in industry and not selling into the sector, we successfully appointed the role
The outcome
bpesearch were delighted to successfully appoint Ben Sheeran from Metro Bank into the role, with a track record of building and driving commercial strategy for the Bank, developing relationships across a number of verticals and with a proven track record working across start up and challenger banks.
