The Role
bpesearch has been retained by a market-leading UK manufacturer and distributor of consumer products to appoint a Director of Logistics.
This is an amazing opportunity to join a household brand synonymous with producing high end quality consumer products.
Reporting to the Group Operations Director, the Director of Logistics is primarily accountable for developing and implementing a logistics strategy to ensure the business operates at best-in-class standards.
To establish a long term sustainable strategy across warehouse, transportation, logistics and stock accuracy to support the company in achieving its goals and objectives.
The successful individual will have proven experience of S&OP, managing project deadlines and taking an end-to-end approach to forecasting accuracy, influence regional teams, driving performance locally while ensuring standardised processes across the group.
You must be able to demonstrate
Lead the development and engagement of the entire GB logistics function, as well as contributing to both regional and cluster initiatives to ensure that best practise is scaled
Develop a long term strategy across the total logistics operation that supports both current GB priorities and the long term direction of the market
Numerical & Data Literacy: Able to convert data to insights, understand complex forecasts, P&L complexities and communicate them clearly
Have a strategic mindset combined with a goal-orientated approach and the ability to deliver projects in line with company objectives.
